      What's needed to use Smart Home

      Find out about the equipment and devices needed to use Voiceitt Smart Home.

      To be able to use Voiceitt with Alexa, you will need the following: 

      Required Device 

      1. An iPad or iPhone that can run iOS12 or higher
      2. The Voiceitt app

      Amazon Equipment

      1. Alexa app (required)
        1. Through using Voiceitt with the Alexa app, you can ask for the weather, jokes, timers, shopping, play twenty questions and more!
        2. You can download the Alexa app for free from the app store

      2. Echo device (optional)
        1. With using Voiceitt and an Echo device, you will have more advanced functionality like playing music, controlling your smart lights, and controlling your smart TV. There are plenty of different Echos to choose from, and they are all compatible with the Voiceitt app.

      You may want to change the default wake word setting in the Alexa app to a word other than Alexa such as Echo, computer or Amazon to avoid confusion with the Voiceitt app and the Echo.

      Connected Devices

        There are many devices that will connect to Alexa for a variety of needs including:
          1. Smart TVs
          2. Smart lights, plugs and outlets
          3. Household appliances 

        Before you purchase a smart appliance, make sure it is compatible with Alexa. At this time, we do not recommend using safety, security or emergency commands (such as locking a door) with Voiceitt.
