[Voiceitt speak and dictate mode](https://help.voiceitt.com/voiceitt-speak-and-dictate-mode?hsLang=en) # Speak mode ## All you need to know about "speak" mode   Speak mode will be available to use after initial 50 recordings.  Speak mode is best to communicate in single sentences, just like you would do in a conversation with a person, or to activate smart assitent devices.  1. Go to "speak" toggle 2. Click "Click to speak"  3. Voiceitt is now listening to you- say whatever you would like to communicate, Voiceitt will understand you and transcribe what you said.  - Voiceitt will automatically stop listening when you stop talking, no need to click again to stop listening.  - Voiceitt will immidietly write you sentence on the screen - Voiceitt will read you sentence out loud using a synthetic voice.  When you "click to speak" again, the first sentence will disappeare from the screen, and the new one will appeare.  Remember- Voiceitt will get better in recognizing you speach as you add more recordings. You may turn off this feature by clicking on the "sound on" button .  **Read out loud:** You can manually have Voicceitt read the text displayed out loud by clicking on the "play" option #### Keyboard shortcuts: If you are using a computer with a keyboard, you can use the keyboard instead of using your mouse for easier access. The relevant  keys vary between computer brands and types.  To know what key to use. look under the button- the relevant key is written in square brackets under each button.  #### settings and adjustments:  **Voice**- You may choose a synthetic voice you like through the settings. Read [here](https://help.voiceitt.com/voiceitt-voices?hsLang=en) on how to choose your voice.  **Voice output speed**-  make the output voice talk faster or slower. Go to Menu -> settings -> General -> Playback speed.  **Silence  time out**- If you need more time to take a breath between words, without Voiceitt stopping to listen, you may adjust the time Voiceitt will recognize as the end of your sentence. Go to Menu -> Settings ->general -> silence time out -> make it longer up to 3 seconds.  **Flip text**- If you want you conversation partner to be able to easily read the text as they are facing you, you may flip the text for easier access for your conversation partner.
