      How to download Voiceitt chrome extension 

      You can download Voiceitt chrome extension through this link 

      Or search "Voiceitt" in the chrome extension store. 

      The voiceitt chrome extension is available to use only after you have completed at least 50 training recordings on your voiceitt account. 

       

      After download, you will be asked to complete a few steps before you could use it: 

      1. Log in to your voiceitt account
      2. Allow microphone permission
      3. Pin the extension to your browser:
        • Click the  Extension-Icon-light  icon to the right of the address bar
        • click on the pin icon Pin-Icon-light to ensure easy access from your top bar.

      4. close the page, and open a new tab, a pop up will appear. choose "keep it".

      How to use the chrome extension 

      Voice typing into websites:

       

      Click on the Voiceitt icon on the top bar. 

      * Keyboard shortcut: click Alt +R. (pc) \ Option + R (iOS) 

      A small voiceitt bar will appear on the right side of the screen.
      When the voiceitt icon will turn blue. It's listening to you. 

      Place your curser wherever you would like to voice type into, and whatever you say will appear wherever you placed you cursor. 

      You might notice a small delay between you speaking, and the text appearing. 

       

      when you are done dictating, click the icon again, and it will turn gray and stop listening to you. 
      * Keyboard shortcut: click Alt +R. (pc) \ Option + R (iOS) 

       

      PRO TIP:

      Use your words to put in punctuation marks, such as: 

      to type in say this
      . period\dot\full stop
      , comma
      ? question mark

       

      You may also start a new line or a new paragraph, by simply saying "new line" and "new paragraph". 

      * To see more punctuation options- right click the Voiceitt icon and choose "options". 

       

       

      Control your browser with your voice

      The Voiceitt chrome extension allows you to do a few simple actions, using your voice. 

      1. Turn on the chrome extension by clicking on the voiceitt chrome extension icon
      * Keyboard shortcut: click Alt +R. (pc) \ Option + R (iOS) 

      2. when it turns blue, use your voice to execute  the action you need

      For example: 

      say this to do this
      Open [website name] open a specific website
      new tab \ open new tab open a new chrome tab
      press enter press enter
      Go Back Navigate to the previous page
      Go Forward
      Navigate to the next page
      Scroll Down, Go Down Scroll Down
      Scroll Up, Go Up Scroll Up
      Page Down Scroll one page down
      Page Up Scroll one page up
      Stop Listening Turn off the chrome extension 

      You can also see the full list by right-clicking the voice extension icon, and choosing "Options". 

       

      Where can I use the chrome extension?

      It's available  on any chrome browser that allows extensions- laptops and computers. 
      The chrome extension can work on a viraity of websites, including: Google docs, Michrosoft 365 docs, gmail, google search, facebook, youtube, whatsapp web, and more. 
       

      Extension settings and troubleshooting

      To see all the different settings, right click the chrome extension icon , and choose "options"

      You may change: 

      • Sound effects
      • Adjust automatic shut off time
      • Change keyboard shortcut to something else (must be at least 2 keys) 
      • Voiceitt new tab: 
        • When enabled: Voiceitt chrome will be able to dictate into a new tab, Voiceitt will keep working when moving to a different tab. Google shortcuts will not be available. 

        • When disables: Google shortcuts will appear. Voiceitt chrome will not work on the new tab page, and will automatically disable when moving to a different tab. 

       

      Troubleshooting

      • Voiceitt chrome doesn't appear on the top bar
        --> make sure it's pinned and the pin icon is bue
        --> try to remove and re-downlaid the extension from the extension store.

      • Chose "change it back" instead of "keep it" in the pop up
        --> Right click the voiceitt icon , go to  "options" and enable "Voiceitt new tab" setting.

      • The Voiceitt icon doesn't turn blue and has a ⛔ sign
        --> This website  is not supported. Do you need this website supported? Feel free to contact us and let us know what this website is.

      • The blue bar is covering my page and disturbing the view 
        --> Hold and drag the white dots on the side, you may change the position of the bar, and have it at a lower or higher part of the screen.
